On Sunday, news broke that star Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill was arrested before his team's Week 1 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Hill seemed to dispute with the Miami-Dade police, but the altercation is still unclear. Hill's lawyer, Julius B. Collins, revealed an alleged NSFW demand from one of the police officers amid the incident.

In a statement on behalf of Hill, Collins noted that officers allegedly told the Dolphins receiver to roll down his window during the exchange. As the interaction progressed, Collins revealed one of the officers' alleged demands:

“Immediately after, another officer then aggressively approached Mr. Hill's vehicle and stated something similar to the effect that “if we have to break that f****** window, we will,” per a document provided by ESPN NFL Reporter Jeff Darlington.

The reveal of the alleged demand comes just after the Miami-Dade police union released a statement explaining Tyreek Hill's detainment. The statement alleged that the Dolphins star was not arrested but rather detained for the officers' safety. Furthermore, the statement read that the reason behind Hill's detainment was for “driving in a manner in which he was putting himself and others in great risk of danger.”

Hill's lawyer alleged that the officer's interactions with the Dolphins star were unnecessary, as captured by the aforementioned alleged NFSW demand. Below is another excerpt from the statement:

“Mr. Hill understands the inherently dangerous job that law enforcement is tasked with and understands that officer safety is important. However, at no point in time did Mr. Hill pose a threat to these officers. We believe that this matter was escalated due to overzealous officers attempting to impose their authority on Mr. Hill because they were not pleased with how fast he complied with their request and that Mr. Hill did not roll down his window far enough to their liking,” Julius B. Collins wrote on Hill's behalf.

Hill's incident and status with the Dolphins will continue to develop as more details emerge.
