The Miami Dolphins are reportedly eyeing to trade up in order to get projected No.1 pick Joe Burrow in the 2020 NFL Draft. And according to reports, the interest between the two sides is mutual.

Per Cameron Wolfe of ESPN, Burrow “would be happy” if ever he lands on Miami with the Dolphins.

The Dolphins like Burrow a lot, according to sources. Plus, Burrow would be happy to play in Miami if it works out that way, another source said.

Unfortunately, the Cincinnati Bengals have the No.1 pick, and they are reportedly set on drafting the LSU quarterback and adding him to their fold. The Dolphins have the No.5 pick, but it is becoming clear they won't be able to trade for the top pick.

According to ESPN's NFL Nation Bengals reporter Ben Baby, the odds of the Dolphins actually trading up to get Joe Burrow are “incredibly slim.” However, that does not mean it's not possible.

The package that the Dolphins would have to give up to get Burrow would likely be immense, but if any team has the draft capital for such a trade, it's Miami.

The Dolphins have two first-round picks in this year's draft, as well as two second-rounders. Even more impressive, they also own the Houston Texans' first and second-round picks in 2021 as well as their own.

All reports indicate that Cincinnati is very high on Burrow, so it's unlikely that they would let him go. At the same time, however, everyone has a price and no one can throw more on the table than the Dolphins.

Miami went 5-11 last season, but considering they started the year at 0-7, it's clear that the team has some hope for the future. Nonetheless, their quarterback situtation — a combination of Josh Rosen and Ryan Fitzpatrick — is less than ideal and the team will likely be searching for a franchise QB on April 23.
