At times during the 2018 NFL season, the Miami Dolphins showed signs of promise and threatened to be a force to be reckoned with in the AFC.

Miami had four wins in their first five games with the most impressive performance coming against the Chicago Bears in which they were able to come out on top in overtime. However, those wins turned out to be somewhat of a fluke as the team went on lose seven of their last 10 games and now it appears quarterback Ryan Tannehill could be headed elsewhere via trade, according to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald.

The Dolphins are expected to explore trading Ryan Tannehill, who likely won’t be back.

Although the Dolphins have stuck Tannehill through all of his injury issues and struggling on the gridiron, the struggling franchise appears ready to move on. Miami didn't get any better with him under center this season, and that might've been enough of a red flag to push the front office in the direction of pursuing a trade to part ways.

Unfortunately for Miami, the team likely won't get much in return for the veteran quarterback even though a change of scenery may be exactly what he needs to resurrect his career in the NFL.

In 11 games during the 2018 campaign, Tannehill threw for 1,979 yards, 17 touchdowns, and nine interceptions finishing with a completion percentage of 64.2.

If Tannehill has indeed played his last game for Miami, his stint comes to an end with a record of 42-46 with a total of 20,434 yards, 123 touchdowns, and 75 interceptions.
