The Minnesota Vikings are coming off an impressive 30-17 win over the Seattle Seahawks and Kirk Cousins once again pieced together an impressive outing.
On Wednesday, the Vikings' star running back Dalvin Cook praised Cousins and even made an eye-popping statement about how he ranks Cousins among the best in the game.
Dalvin Cook on Kirk Cousins: "You give him a clean pocket, he’s the best in the game. … That’s how I feel about my quarterback. That’s my quarterback."

That's quite the praise for Cousins coming from a teammate. Cousins has been really good so far this year but the Vikings are still just 1-2 and questions have constantly swirled about whether or not Cousins is the franchise quarterback Minnesota needs.
Article Continues BelowKellen Mond was drafted in the third-round by the Vikings in the 2021 NFL Draft and the selection was made perhaps with the future in mind. After a super underwhelming preseason, Mond appears to be a long way away from getting any shot at being a starting quarterback.
As far as Cook's praise goes, he's likely the only player outside of any other Vikings teammates who would label Cousins “the best in the game.” Minnesota's fan base has long been split on Cousins and if he is or isn't the guy to be the franchise savior for the Vikings.
There's no doubting how great the QB1 for the Vikings has been this year as he's thrown for 8 touchdowns and zero interceptions. Another big test awaits as the Cleveland Browns will be in town in Week 4 to take on the Minnesota.
