The Minnesota Vikings are reportedly set to bring back Kirk Cousins as their quarterback next season.
According a report from NFL insider Tom Pelissero, the Vikings are sticking to their lead QB from the last four seasons. This comes after news that the team is hiring former QB Kevin O'Connell as their new head coach.

Kirk Cousins and Kevin O'Connell have already built a relationship in the past, which makes it much easier for a new coach to trust the incumbent QB.
Cousins had a decent 2021 season with the Vikings overall, getting named to his third Pro Bowl team in the process. He finished with 33 touchdowns with seven interceptions thrown for the year.
O'Connell, who's currently the offensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Rams, will look to bring the success he helped build this past season with his new franchise and quarterback.
With a new coach and GM tandem at the helm in Minnesota, there's reason for optimism that the Vikings can get back into the playoff picture next season.
