Odell Beckham Jr. has just been released, and New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick provided some enigmatic messages regarding this situation. Per Mike Reiss of ESPN:

In the past, when Beckham Jr. was still with the New York Giants, there had been interest from the Patriots' front office regarding the star wide receiver. As the former Brown is once again becoming available, the Patriots could be a team looking to take a chance on the three time Pro-Bowler.
There have been times in the past when the Patriots have picked up players that have been cut or traded in the mid-season. Aqib Talib was brought in through a deal with the Buccaneers back in 2012. In 2014, running back LeGarrette Blount was signed after being cut from the Steelers, and went on to have a productive season of 281 yards rushed with three touchdowns scored.

The New England Patriots are a team that could definitely be intrigued in signing Odell Beckham Jr. With a respectable 4-4 record entering Week 9, an upgrade in the wide receiving core could not only help them win more games, but also prove to be useful for rookie quarterback Mac Jones. With the rookie lacking established receivers with experience, Beckham Jr. could be the top option and aid in the development of Jones' game.
