When you're a part of the Bill Belichick coaching tree, you're going to get a shot at NFL head coaching jobs. So, it should come as no surprise that New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels will likely be a hot commodity once again when coaching searches get started in the offseason.

And according to one NFL insider, McDaniels will find himself in the mix with a few teams around the league.

Ian Rapoport went on WEEI's Mut & Callahan Show and predicted that teams would request interviews with Patriots Offensive Coordinator Josh McDaniels, and that he would at least accept a few of them.

“There are not a lot of really good assistant coaches, especially ones with head-coaching experience,” Rapoport began. “The NFL has a very short memory. I do expect him to get requested. My guess is he will probably accept one or two, or maybe more interviews and then we’ll see what happens when he gets down the line. He has, I believe each of the last four years withdrawn, so I don’t know what he is going to do ultimately, but I do believe he’s going to get chances.”

McDaniels was announced as the new head coach of the Indianapolis Colts back in February, but later withdrew from the job and chose to stay in New England.

In his only NFL head coaching stint, McDaniels lasted just 28 games as the head coach of the Denver Broncos before being fired in the middle of the 2010 season.
