New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski has missed a lot of time because of injury this year but now that he is back on the field offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels thinks that he is in a good place. Although he is back on the field he still doesn't look like he's 100 percent and against the Minnesota Vikings, they weren't even putting any extra attention on him.

When McDaniels was asked about Gronkowski on a conference call Tuesday he reminded everyone just how important he is to the offense.

“It’s great to have him back out there,” McDaniels said via WEEI. … “He has a great attitude and approach, he’s unselfish and does whatever … and does some things too that don’t necessarily get noticed or don’t show up on the stat sheet but helps us do a lot of different things and also takes a tremendous amount of coverage. Sometimes they put a lot of attention to him and the ball goes somewhere else, and that kind of goes hand-in-hand with what we talked about earlier about the quarterback reading the coverage out and trying to go to the right spot each coverage, each play and give ourselves a chance to have some success each time we go back and throw it.

“I think he’s in a good place, continues to work hard and he’s always patient and unselfish and he’s a great teammate. We’re better when he’s on the field.”

Gronkowski is a big part of the Patriots offense and he is going to be key as the team tries to win another Super Bowl. If he suffers another injury or isn't a big threat, that is going to be a big hit to the Patriots chances. So far this year Gronkowski has 35 receptions for 530 yards and two touchdowns.
