The New England Patriots had a real injury scare during Tuesday's practice when Phillip Dorsett slipped on a crossing route and stayed on the ground for an extended period of time. According to Pro Football Talk, he walked off under his power to the medical tent, and a short time later emerged and caught passes from a Patriots staffer on the sideline.

No update was immediately given on Dorsett's condition, but according to The Athletic's Jeff Howe, he avoided an injury and will actually likely practice on Wednesday.

In the immediate aftermath, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady told the media that he was worried about Dorsett and hoped that everything was fine since he has a big opportunity ahead of him this year with a Patriots offense experiencing turnover at the position.

“You never like to see it,” Brady said, via CBS Boston. “Everyone wanted to go over and see how he was doing, because he’s been doing so well –- in the spring and in training camp. Hopefully he’s OK. I certainly hope he is. He’s got a great opportunity ahead of him; hopefully he takes advantage of it.”

The Patriots are already a bit short at wide receiver and they really can't afford an injury at the position, especially with Julian Edelman suspended for the first four games of the regular season. Last year Dorsett had 12 catches for 194 yards, and he is in line for a big increase in production this year as long as he stays healthy enough to stay on the field.
