Tom Brady continues his press tour that's making headlines for all the weird and wrong reasons — now, it's because he compared himself to LeBron James.

During a press conference held with the Patriots quarterback on Tuesday, Brady relished in the LeBron comparison before conceding that LeBron is actually a better athlete.

“We're similar athletes, LeBron and I. Both great size and speed, jumping ability, shooting. Not quite. No, he's a much better athlete than me,” Brady said per Nick Goss of NBC Boston.

This is a rather interesting comparison because Tom Brady isn't the strongest, the fastest, or the tallest athlete in the NFL. And while he manages to win countless games for the Patriots — and no one's denying that — it's mostly because he's paired up against players that are far beneath his “weight class,” professionally, and he has irreplaceable weapons in Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman.

To be honest, if the Jets would hire good weapons for the likes of Sam Darnold, or if the Steelers could stop the fighting between Antonio Brown and Ben Roethlisberger long enough, there could be plenty of other teams that could serve as a threat to the Patriots organization.

LeBron James, on the other hand, is a beast on the court no matter who he plays for or with. He's universally regarded as the best player in the NBA, and is both the most talented and physically gifted player in basketball. Most of all, LeBron — unlike Tom Brady — is universally liked and respected and spends time and resources on his community's less fortunate.

But, no worries, Tom Brady — the comparisons between you and LeBron are totally appropriate. (Insert eye-roll here.)
