There was some concern surrounding the status of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, who was limited on Wednesday’s practice due to a right hand injury he suffered after a collision with a teammate. However, an X-ray later revealed that there was no structural damage on his injured throwing hand.
And according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the injury doesn’t appear to be serious enough to prevent Brady from playing in the AFC Championship Game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday:
#Patriots QB Tom Brady’s right hand “should be OK,” per someone close to him. Another source said simply, “He will play” after his hand was on the injury report.
ESPN’s Mike Reiss also heard something similar regarding Brady's status:

While it’s definitely good news Brady will more than likely be on the field for the Patriots, it still remains to be seen just how “OK” his hand will look and feel during the game.
Brady has already admitted he won’t have much time to work with against a very tough Jaguars defense, and if he’s not up to 100 percent effectiveness due to his injury, he and the Pats offense could have some problems on their hands.
Still, Brady has battled through his share of injury concerns, particularly this season, and has been just fine. As long as he’s on the field, the Patriots should still have a very good chance of winning.
