The New England Patriots have enjoyed a sensational season as they head into their Week 17 game against the New York Jets. They are in first place in the AFC East, and head coach Mike Vrabel's team has a chance to cement their position at the top of the division standings ahead of the Buffalo Bills.

However, the Patriots will go into the game against the last-place Jets with a slew of injuries. The Patriots will be missing multiple players in this game at Met Life Stadium. They include linebacker Robert Spillane (ankle), defensive tackle Khyiris Tonga (foot), linebacker Harold Landry (knee), offensive lineman Jared Wilson (concussion protocol), wide receiver Kayshon Boutte (concussion protocol), wide receiver Mack Hollins (abdomen), and defensive lineman Milton Williams (ankle).

However, the Patriots did get a bit of good news because rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson is out of concussion protocol and is expected to play. He is still listed as questionable, but his addition to the lineup will give the Patriots a key big-play performer as he gets the ball from star second-year quarterback Drake Maye.

The Patriots have had a balanced offense this season as Maye has shown significant improvement in his accuracy and leadership. The New England running game has also given the team a big lift.

Henderson has shown the ability to get to the second level with his speed and strength. He has carried the ball 148 times for 776 yards while averaging 5.2 yards per carry. He has gotten into the end zone seven times and he has a long TD run of 69 yards.

In addition to the young star from Ohio State, veteran Rhamondre Stevenson remains a key contributor. He has carried the ball 115 times for 425 yards and he has scored four touchdowns.

The two running backs have also contributed to Maye's passing attack with 60 receptions for 489 yards and 1 TD.
