One of Philadelphia’s most loved fictional figures just got the New England Patriots treatment. In a viral photo circulating right now on social media, the Rocky Balboa statue in Philly is seen sporting a Tom Brady uniform.

If only the sculpture can speak, it could have shouted “Yo, Adrian. Get this jersey off of me!”

Having Rocky dress up as Tom Brady seems counterintuitive. For one, Rocky has often been associated with underdogs, so it does not make a ton of sense to see Sylvester Stallone’s legendary movie character wearing something that pertains to a favorite. That said, it’s clear that whoever put Rocky in a Brady uniform only wanted to mess with Eagles fans and not spark a spirited analysis of another example of the concept of art imitating life.

The Patriots and the Eagles are exactly a week away from a highly anticipated showdown in Super Bowl LII in Minnesota. As of this writing, Tom Brady and the Patriots are favored to win the Vince Lombardi Trophy for the second year in a row. Brady is gunning for his sixth Super Bowl title, and a win next Sunday could further solidify his place as one of the greatest players the game of football has ever seen.

The Eagles, however, are standing in the way of New England. Philly has fully embraced its role as a playoff underdog, having beaten the Minnesota Vikings and the Atlanta Falcons in the NFC Championship Game and in the divisional round, respectively, despite missing the services of quarterback Carson Wentz.

There are plenty of guesses for the winner of this game, but for the losing team, there’s only one prediction.

Pain.
