In their upcoming contest to close out the 2018 season against the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning will be active and starting under center.
Per SNY NFL Insider Ralph Vacchiano, the team has decided to have Manning start their last game in Week 17:
No surprise: Eli Manning will start at QB for the Giants on Sunday in the season finale against Dallas at the Meadowlands, coach Pat Shurmur said.

Manning's season has been mediocre at best, throwing for 3,998 yards with only 19 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. His quarterback rating sits at a lowly 50.7 and his completion percentage is at 66.5 percent, which happens to be the highest of his career.
This may be Manning's last season in a Giants uniform, as he's a free agent this upcoming offseason and New York may look to try out a younger player at the position.
Head coach Pat Shurmur shut down any speculation whether or not their backup Kyle Lauletta would start earlier this week. The 2018 first rounder has potential, but to deny their franchise quarterback of the opportunity to finish the season and eclipse 4,000 passing yards would be a little off-putting.
The Giants are entirely out of postseason contention, so it wouldn't be surprising that if the game is blown wide-open, Laulette or Alex Tanney could get time under center.
Odell Beckham Jr. will also sit out yet another game, along with linebacker Alec Ogletree, center Spencer Pulley, and wide receiver Russell Shepard.
The Giants are 5-10 on the season, firmly in last place in the NFC East in Shurmur's first season as head coach. They rank in the 20s in both points per game and points given up per game, which is far from a recipe for success.
