The New York Giants could finally have a key part of their offense back in the lineup after his recent absence. Giants head coach Pat Shurmur said on Tuesday morning that tight end Evan Engram will practice at full speed later and could play against the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday night.

Engram has missed the Giants’ last two games with a sprained MCL. He did finally return to the team’s walkthrough practice on Monday, although he was listed as a limited participant.
The fact that Engram is set to go at full speed in practice is a good sign that he could be ready to return for their big Thursday night clash against the Eagles. But if the Giants don’t think he’s quite ready to return just yet, he’s almost certain to make it back for Week 7 given a few days more.
Engram has played in just three games thus far this season, making 10 catches for 104 yards and a touchdown. He’s coming off a strong rookie season where he made 64 catches for 722 yards and six touchdowns in 15 games (11 starts).
Rhett Ellison has been taking over at tight end in his absence. He has five catches for 46 yards over the last two games.
Engram had one of his best games last season as a rookie against the Eagles. He had a career-high eight catches for 87 yards in the Giants' 34-29 loss in Week 15.
