New York Giants second-year cornerback DeAndre Baker was arrested earlier this week after he and fellow NFL cornerback Quinton Dunbar allegedly robbed a party at gunpoint after a dice game gone wrong.

However, Baker has maintained his innocence in the whole ordeal, claiming that he was playing Madden at the alleged time of the robbery.

Now out on bail, Baker is wasting no time showing his fans that he is focused on football. The Giants CB posted a video of him working out in Florida on his Instagram story on Tuesday, per Paul Schwartz of the New York Post.

Baker was drafted by the Giants with the 30th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft after an All-American career at Georgia. Expected to improve a New York pass defense that has struggled in recent years, Baker ended up starting 15 of 16 games as a rookie this past season.

In 16 games, the 22-year-old cornerback recorded 61 tackles, eight passes defended and two tackles for loss. At the same time, however, he failed to record a single interception.

Additionally, the Giants' defense continued to struggle in 2019, as they ranked 30th in the league in terms of points allowed per game with 28.2. The team also allowed 264.1 passing yards per game — 28th in the NFL and a downgrade from their numbers in 2018.

While DeAndre Baker and his attorneys assert his innocence, the former first-round pick's future with the team may be in jeopardy. After all, the Giants have reportedly asked Baker to stay away from team meetings.
