Salary cap and player motivations are very intriguing. A player may not want to sign with a losing franchise despite the financial incentive. This adds a new element to the feature. Other free agency motivations listed on the website include but are not limited to: Head coach’s overall record, scheme fit, close to home, tax free state, big market, and more.

Additionally, working around a salary cap is an element of real NFL free agency. The salary cap has been part of the game for years, but EA is enhancing Madden 23’s salary cap.

Scouting, player tags, player attributes, trade logic, and draft class are just a few of the other Madden 23 features that have been upgraded.

EA also stated that they will be announcing Face of the Franchise and Madden Ultimate Team updates in the near future.
