Thursday at the NFL Draft Combine has been a big day for linebackers and defensive linemen showing off what they have ahead of the 2020 NFL Draft in April. For Oklahoma Sooners standout linebacker Kenneth Murray, that means boasting his speed and previewing what could be an exciting 40 time.

Per ProFootballTalk:

“The speed I have at linebacker is extremely special. I think just being able to put that together with how intelligent I am as a player, reacting to what I see after the snap and get to the ball,” Murray said.

“Something really, really fast,” Murray said. “Fast is 4.3 to me.”

The 21-year-old Texas native, who crossed enemy lines to play at Oklahoma for three seasons, declared for the draft, where he is projected to be a first or second-round pick, perhaps the best linebacker only behind Clemson's Isaiah Simmons and maybe LSU's K'Lavon Chaisson.

A 4.3-second 40-yard dash from Murray would be quite rare and an impressive display of acceleration and agility for NFL scouts attending this year's combine. Murray totaled 69 solo tackles during the 2019 college football season along with four sacks. During his three-year tenure in Norman, Oklahoma, Murray recorded 176 solo tackles, 9.5 sacks, and 17 tackles for losses, per Sports-Reference.

So far, Murray has been linked to several teams, most notably the Green Bay Packers and newly relocated Las Vegas Raiders. Murray's first interview at the combine was with the Packers. Kenneth Murray instead could fit with the Raiders, who possess the 12th and 19th overall picks, after Vontaze Burfict was suspended indefinitely and later reinstalled by the NFL this week, now a free agent.
