Philadelphia Eagles running back Miles Sanders got emotional on Twitter after suffering a hand injury during their latest game against the New York Giants.

Sanders left the Week 16 contest last Sunday and didn't return because of the injury. On Monday, it was confirmed he has a broken bone in his hand, which officially sidelines him for their Week 17 contest with the Washington Football Team.

There is still no timeline for his return, but the Eagles are hopeful he'll be able to return this season–which is why they are not putting him on the Injured Reserve list.

Sanders has already missed three games this season due to an ankle injury, so Eagles fans can understand his frustration on his latest debacle. However, Philly's top RB promised he'll bounce back quickly and will not let the adversity hold him back in an emotional message on social media.

“By far the most difficult, frustrating, emotional year of my life, I put my heart and soul into this sport, one thing about me tho when adversity hits I always respond, I love these Philly fans, I love my teammates and I promise imma bounce back from this,” Sanders wrote.

It will be difficult for the Eagles without Sanders, especially since he has been a major contributor in their rushing attack.

The good news for the team, however, is that they haven't seen the last of Miles Sanders. At 8-7 on the season, they still have a good chance at making the postseason, and if they do, they could have their running back return in time.

Moreover, by the looks of it, Sanders is more than motivated to get his recovery started to suit up for Philly.
