Heading into Thursday's matchup against the Atlanta Falcons, the New Orleans Saints had some serious questions surrounding a couple of their key players in running back Mark Ingram and cornerback Marshon Lattimore.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Saints will have Ingram in the backfield in the NFC South divisional meeting despite a toe injury.

Ingram was held out of team-related workouts in practice leading up to Thursday, but it appears the injury isn't significant enough to keep him off the field against the Falcons. He has been a huge offensive factor for the Saints this season, ranking fourth in the league with 922 rushing yards and first with nine rushing touchdowns. Ingram is also on pace to finish with his second straight 1,000-rushing yard campaign while tying a career-best 5.1 yards per carry.

He's an important piece of New Orleans' rushing attack alongside rookie running back Alvin Kamara, who is just the third rookie at his position to record at least 600 rushing yards and 600 receiving yards in a single season. New Orleans has the third-best rushing attack in the NFL through 13 weeks as a result.

Meanwhile, the Saints also get closer to full strength defensively with standout rookie cornerback Lattimore expected to play through an ankle injury.

Lattimore has quickly become one of the league's best defensive backs in his first campaign while also being the front-runner for the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year award. He has been limited by the injury over the last couple of weeks, missing games against the Los Angeles Rams and the Carolina Panthers. He will likely draw the defensive assignment against All-Pro wide receiver Julio Jones on Thursday.

New Orleans also have Ken Crawley (abdomen) and P.J. Williams (shoulder) in the lineup for the first of two meetings in the next against the Falcons in the final month of the season. They are currently a game ahead of Carolina atop the NFC South.
