The New Orleans Saints have been one of the surprise teams this season. New Orleans has been so good that it is currently holding one of the top records in the league through the first 11 weeks.

Ahead of their huge matchup against the upstart Los Angeles Rams, the Saints revealed that their starting cornerbacks, Marshon Lattimore and Ken Crawley, will be out of the lineup due to injury.

According to Mike Triplett of ESPN:

The New Orleans Saints' resurgent defense will be put to the test Sunday in Los Angeles without both of their starting cornerbacks against the Los Angeles Rams' resurgent offense.

Breakout rookie Marshon Lattimore (ankle) and second-year pro Ken Crawley(abdomen) have both been ruled out after not practicing all week.

New Orleans has had much success this season through the play of their defense led by their strong secondary, highlighted by both Lattimore and Crawley. The loss of the duo could put them in a huge hole against one of the league's most dynamic offenses.

This will push backups P.J. Williams and De'Vante Harris into the starting lineup while Sterling Moore will also factor in the equation. At the same time, the Saints are expected to get both starters safety Kenny Vaccaro and linebacker A.J. Klein back for the contest.

Both Lattimore and Crawley have played a huge part in pushing the Saints to the second-best pass defense in the league since Week 3. New Orleans has won their last eight straight games that have put them atop of the NFC South at an 8-2 record.
