With the 2020-21 NFL regular season approaching the quarter mark as Week 4 currently looms large, fans and fantasy football owners alike continue to learn more and more about each team and key players throughout the league as time rolls on.

Of course, the quarterback position remains the most important on the field in addition to being a vital piece of the puzzle for fantasy football owners as well. It is no secret that a poor outing from a quarterback could really submarine an entire week while a massive performance from under center could very well propel a fantasy football owner to a pivotal win.

While there are some no-brainer choices at quarterback out there ahead of Week 4, there are also some options that should force fantasy football owners to sprint the other way. This is definitely not the week to take any chances, that is for sure.

Quarterbacks to Start in Week 4

Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks

Although the Miami Dolphins have shown that the AFC East franchise will make things difficult for opponents in 2020-21, this team will be no match for superstar quarterback Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks in Week 4. With the Seahawks currently sporting a perfect 3-0 record, the last two of those wins have been hard-fought and down to the wire while Seattle is due for an easy, blowout win.

The Dolphins defense will not be able to keep up with the surging Seahawks' dynamic offense, a unit led by the aforementioned Wilson. If the Seahawks once again put up huge numbers on offense, which is highly likely against the Dolphins, expect Wilson to be at the forefront of such success en route to another gaudy fantasy football performance.

Tom Brady, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

After a slow start to the season against the rival New Orleans Saints, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have since gotten things rolling in the right direction. Now atop the NFC South standings at 2-1 on the season, the Buccaneers will welcome the severely banged up Los Angeles Chargers to Tampa Bay in Week 4, which should ultimately become yet another win for future Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady and company.

With a slew of offensive weapons and various options at his disposal, Brady should be able to navigate through a hobbled Chargers defense. The only thing that could slow down a huge performance from Brady, who will no doubt be looking to impress after a few average performances thus far, is a big day from Buccaneers running backs. Nonetheless, Brady should be a must-start this time around, especially with one of his favorite all-time targets in former New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski heating up.

Kyler Murray, Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals are fresh off of the team's first loss of the 2020-21 regular season as the Detroit Lions managed to steal a win in Week 3. However, the odds of another sub-par performance from the Cardinals offense and up-and-coming quarterback Kyler Murray is just simply unlikely. Murray impressed through the first two weeks of the regular season while fantasy football owners should expect the former No. 1 overall pick to return to form in Week 4 against the lowly Carolina Panthers.

With the tandem of Murray and former Houston Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins currently clicking on all cylinders, the Cardinals should be able to put up quite a few points on the Panthers, a team that is without its best player on offense and won't be able to keep up. Murray and the Cardinals need to keep the gas pedal all the way down in this one in order to regain the team's confidence, which is an outcome that can be expected by fantasy football owners.

Quarterbacks to Sit in Week 4

Sam Darnold, New York Jets

This may seem like a good idea as quarterback Sam Darnold and the New York Jets will be taking on mightily injured Denver Broncos and a third-string signal-caller in Brett Rypien in Week 4. However, I am here to tell you that this is still an absolutely atrocious idea. Every fantasy football owner should stay as far away from this Thursday evening matchup of struggling franchises as possible.

Even if it may seem as though Darnold has a slim chance of going off against a hobbled Broncos defense as one of these two teams must win the game — unless it is another tie like we saw between the Philadelphia Eagles and Cincinnati Bengals in Week 3 — once again, this is definitely the wrong thing to do. Plain and simple.

Carson Wentz, Philadelphia Eagles

Despite the fact that the San Francisco 49ers have encountered more injuries than just about every other team out there — besides perhaps the Denver Broncos — the NFC West franchise continues to win games and currently sits at 2-1 on the year. On the other hand, the Philadelphia Eagles are a winless 0-2-1 entering Week 4 and couldn't look any worse if they tried thus far.

It can be argued that struggling quarterback Carson Wentz is eventually going to bounce back in a big way one of these weeks, but it isn't going to be against a well-rounded 49ers team. Until Wentz can prove that he can string together consecutive performances of significance value, fantasy football owners should stay far, far away from the Eagles signal caller in 2020-21.

Ryan Tannehill, Tennessee Titans

Although Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill is presently having yet another successful season down in Nashville, this is more of a case of playing it safe than anything else. Even with the Titans still slated to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 4 (for now), nothing is certain as Tennessee has become the first NFL franchise to encounter a COVID-19 outbreak.

At least three Titans players and at least six other members of the team personnel have tested positive as Tennessee won't be allowed at their facility until Saturday at the earliest. Even if the Titans and Steelers ultimately play this week, it will be impossible to guess the level of play of Tannehill — or the entire team for that matter.
