The NFL, including the Los Angeles Rams, had a bit of a tough week involving a COVID-19 outbreak. Perhaps no one in the NFL had a crazier week than Rams linebacker Von Miller. Just listen to Miller talk about his ‘crazy' COVID week.
“Crazy times. It's been a crazy week,” said Miller, who said he felt shocked Tuesday morning after learning he cleared COVID-19 protocol. “I didn't know what to expect. I took the test, went home, started playing Call of Duty at 6:45, 7 a.m. … Got the call that I was cleared, and I was like, ‘Oh, snap!' I finished my game, and then I went upstairs and started packing.”
“My first game ever in my whole entire life, playing in a game not having any practice, any meetings and then the day of the game I get cleared,” said Miller, who spent five days on the reserve/COVID-19 list. “It's unprecedented times, and you've just got to make the most of it.”
What a crazy week it was for Von Miller and the Rams, indeed. Miller, who was one of 29 players that Los Angeles placed on the reserve/COVID list, was shocked when he learned that he had cleared the COVID protocols ahead of the game against the Seahawks.
Not only that, but Miller was playing Call of Duty when he got the call from the Rams that he was good to go against the Seahawks. Not only was Miller gaming but he proceeded to finish his game before he started packing to get ready to leave his home.
That's the funny part of this whole experience but it truly was a challenge for the Rams and Miller, who acknowledged that this was the first time that he played in a game without any practice or meetings and got cleared the day of the game.
The star linebacker certainly made the most of it, as he came up big for the Rams, with six tackles, two for loss, and a sack, his first in Los Angeles, in the 20-10 win over the Seahawks.
But not before Von Miller had a ‘crazy' COVID week leading up to the Rams-Seahawks game.
