Chris Carson has taken over the lead running back role for the Seattle Seahawks and has been putting up big numbers when given the run this season. Heading into their Week 10 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams, the Seahawks are going to need all hands on deck to pull off a win. Unfortunately, Carson is dealing with a hip injury that could slow him down.

According to a report from Brady Henderson of ESPN, Carson is not expected to be able to do much work this week in practice due to the injury.

Seattle will have their hands full with a Rams team that is coming off of their first loss this season. Los Angeles was unable to defeat the New Orleans Saints in Week 9, falling by a final score of 45-35. Todd Gurley and company will be looking to prove a point this week.

Throughout the first seven games he has played this season, Carson has carried the football 111 times for 497 yards and two touchdowns. He has also caught eight passes for 80 yards.

At 24 years old, a big game from Carson against the Rams could cement him as the long-term starter in Seattle. Los Angeles is currently ranked No. 19 in the NFL against the run, which means that Carson could find himself in an opportunity where he can come through with a big game.

Russell Wilson and the passing game will need a lot of support this week. Carson will be asked to shoulder a large workload, assuming he is able to play through the injury. He will need to take pressure off of Wilson if the Seahawks want to pull off a shocking win.

Expect to see Carson battle the injury this week and try to give it a go against the Rams. A nagging hip injury is never something to mess with, so taking it easy in practice should be expected.
