Heading into this upcoming offseason, the Seattle Seahawks have many major questions to address concerning some key players on their roster, including All-Pro safety Earl Thomas.
Thomas is set to enter the final year of his four-year, $40 million in 2018 that will pay him $8.5 million. With that in mind, he voiced that he wants to work out a new long-term deal to remain in Seattle well beyond next year, according to Michael DiRocco and Brady Henderson of ESPN. And, if it doesn't happen, Thomas isn't afraid to holdout.

But I'm going to continue to work my butt off and enjoy this process at the Pro Bowl.
“As far as my future in Seattle, I think if they want me, you know, money talks. We'll get something accomplished. Other than that, I'm just taking it one day at a time.”
Thomas' future with the Seahawks has become a prevalent topic of discussion over the last several weeks following his actions after the team's 21-12 win over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 16. He went out of his way to speak to Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett outside Dallas' locker room, with cameras catching him say that if they have a chance to acquire him, they should do so.
The 28-year-old has since walked back those comments, but it's clear that he wants to find stability over this next chapter of his career. He has been one of the cornerstone pieces in Seattle's secondary over his first eight seasons, helping the franchise win their first Super Bowl. Thomas has enjoyed plenty of individual success along the way, with six Pro Bowl selections, four First-Team All-Pro nods, and two Second-Team All-Pro selections.
Although the Seahawks took a step back this season by missing the playoffs for the first time in six years, Thomas is a big part of their future on the defensive side of the ball. It will be interesting to see if the front office holds that same point of view in the coming months.
