Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch was inspired by rookie Travis Homer during the team's Week 17 loss against the San Francisco 49ers. In a Seahawks All Access video Lynch tried to keep Homer pumped up and motivated on the sideline.
“I’m feeding off you,” Lynch told Homer. “You’re inspiring me right now. Keep inspiring me.”

All eyes were on Lynch in his first game back with the Seahawks, but it was Homer who stole the show. He finished the game with ten rushing attempts for 62 yards. He also caught five passes out of the backfield for 30 yards. Homer said he relished at the moment, and it was cool to hear words like that from one of the greats.
“It was definitely a cool moment for me – for one of the greats to come up to me and say what he said,” Homer said, via Joe Fann of NBC Sports Northwest. “I took that to heart.”
Homer said it was a big help getting Lynch in the Seahawks locker room leading up to the game and being able to pick his game.
“He was giving me tips all throughout the week, just telling me what he’s seeing and what I can do,” Homer said.
Not many had heard of Homer heading into the Week 17 game, but he opened up a lot of eyes with his game. Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said they love the way Homer plays, and he is going to be a key in the team's Wild Card game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
“He’s got a really good style, attitude about running the ball,” head coach Pete Carroll said via Curtis Crabtree of Pro Football Talk. “He’s just downhill and gives you everything he’s got that suddenness really is an asset. We love the way he plays. Love the style of his play.”
