The Seattle Seahawks added a new but familiar face in Marshawn Lynch to end the season. Fans are definitely excited to see him return to the field after a year of absence, and Beast Mode is also eager to get one more try for one more Super Bowl title.

The running back had a quick press conference after confirming his return to the Seahawks. The press naturally had a few questions for the running back, questions that the 33-year-old brushed off in an effort to keep things short.

Per Pro Football Talk's Curtis Crabtree:

Lynch was told “welcome back” and responded with “appreciate it, thank you.” He was then asked what brought him back to Seattle, which he had little interest in answering at all.

“Happy holidays. Merry New Year. Y’all have a great day. It’s a great feeling to be back. Thank you,” Lynch said before exiting.

The entirety of the encounter was all of 12 seconds.

It makes sense that Lynch wants to keep things short. He hasn't played football for over a year and would rather spend time getting himself in the best shape of his life ahead of the Seahawks' season finale.

Pete Carroll has mentioned after acquiring Lynch that they're anxious to find out what kind of player he is at the moment. If he wants to get a run of snaps in the playoffs, he must show to his coach that he's still got it.

Lynch was a solid running back who notched 1306 rushing yards in the second-to-the-final year of his first stint with the Seahawks. However, his form has since dropped off as injuries kept him from playing as much as he could. Their upcoming regular-season finale against the Arizona Cardinals should give the team a good clue to his state as a player.
