Behind a flimsy offensive line last season, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson frequently hit the ground under pressure in the pocket as his protection unit allowed the 10th most sacks in the league.
Wilson, however, sounds full of confidence in the team’s O-line heading into the new season, per Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times.

On Friday, Wilson completed just 11 of his 21 pass attempts for 118 passing yards but was not sacked during a 21-20 preseason road loss to the Minnesota Vikings. While it’s just a meaningless exhibition contest, Wilson’s comment about his protection crew speaks volumes about the improvement he is seeing in them.
Wilson was taken down 43 times last season, the fourth most among NFL quarterbacks. Even with a weak offensive line in front of him, the Seahawks' quarterback had 3,983 passing yards and 34 touchdowns against only 11 interceptions. He also paced the team with 586 rushing yards and three scores on the ground. According to Football Outsiders, the Seahawks were 24th in the NFL last season in terms of adjusted sack rate with an 8.1 percent clip.
