The Seattle Seahawks fell to the Dallas Cowboys by a score of 24-22 in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs on Saturday night, and one of the biggest reasons for the loss was because of the Seahawks' inability to run the ball effectively.
Rashaad Penny led the team with just 29 yards rushing, with lead running back Chris Carson totaling just 20 yards on 13 carries.
On Sunday, quarterback Russell Wilson was asked if the Seahawks should have thrown the football more given their struggles in the ground game, and he said it may have been a good idea:

Wilson completed 18 of his 27 passes for 233 yards and a touchdown in the loss, with Tyler Lockett catching four of those balls for 120 yards.
The 29-year-old signal-caller had one of the best seasons of his career this season, throwing for 3,448 yards, a career-high 35 touchdowns, and just seven interceptions while completing 65.6 percent of his passes and registering a passer rating of 110.9.
The Seahawks won 10 games on the season, rebounding from a 4-5 to start to earn the first Wild Card spot in the NFC. Seattle returned to the playoffs after a one-year hiatus, and prior to that absence, the Seahawks had made five straight postseason appearances, including back-to-back Super Bowl appearances. Seattle won one of those two Super Bowls, topping the Denver Broncos during the 2013-14 campaign.
