Last week, the Patriots placed Gordon on injured reserve with a knee injury that he had been dealing with for a few weeks. Despite being placed on injured reserve, Gordon believes he is ready to return in the near future.
Additionally, New England acquired Mohamed Sanu via trade from the Atlanta Falcons. Thus, making Gordon an expendable piece of the Patriots' offense for the rest of the season.

Of course, the waiver process goes according to team records and somehow the Seahawks were able to land the big-play wide receiver. With Gordon, Seattle will now have a formidable trio of wide receivers that also includes Tyler Lockett and D.K. Metcalf.
Before being released by New England, Gordon had caught 20 passes for 287 yards and one touchdown in six games. However, Gordon's lone touchdown came in Week 1 against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday Night Football.
Without a doubt, Gordon won't make his debut with the Seahawks in Week 9 versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Instead, he will likely be in uniform when the Seahawks square off against the San Francisco 49ers on Monday night in Week 10.
