The Seattle Seahawks have plummeted down to last place in the NFC West standings, largely due to a stagnant offense. One of the key components to the Seattle offense is star receiver DK Metcalf, though his usage has come into question recently, notably by quarterback Russell Wilson. Seahawks' offensive coordinator Shane Waldron addressed Metcalf's usage and got honest about the talented wideout.

Seahawks offensive coordinator Shane Waldron is right and so is Russell Wilson. DK Metcalf needs the ball in his hands more if Seattle wants to be successful. Metcalf has been quiet in the box score lately and the Seahawks have suffered because of it, going 1-3 in their last four contests. Seattle can't hope to make a playoff run with the Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Rams atop the division, and the San Francisco 49ers showing some fight in a run of their own.

However, the Seahawks can still salvage something this year- and it starts with getting the ball in the hands of one of their most talented wideouts. Per Pro Football Reference, Metcalf has averaged 6.2 receptions and 79.6 yards per game in his career against the 49ers, Seattle's Week 13 opponent.

In other words, this is the perfect time for the Seahawks to get DK Metcalf going.
