There is going to be a lot of quarterbacks changing teams this offseason, which has prompted teams to pursue other quarterbacks via trade. According to the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, teams have made calls to the Seattle Seahawks in hopes to land Russell Wilson.

Of course, the calls for Russell Wilson were for naught as the Seahawks aren't entertaining any offers for their franchise quarterback. With that being said, it remains to be seen which teams were bold enough to call Seattle with the idea that Wilson could be available.

Wilson just finished one of the best seasons of his career with the Seahawks in 2020. The seven-time Pro Bowler concluded the season by completing a career-best 68.8 percent of his attempts for 4,212 yards, 40 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions.

A large reason why Wilson had so much success in 2020 was due to offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer opening up his playbook and letting Wilson pass more often. However, Schottenheimer was fired recently fired, with Shane Waldron being hired as his replacement.

Seeing what Pete Carroll said about the offense of the Seahawks this offseason has led many to believe that Seattle could go back to running the ball more often. In light of that, teams may have seen the changes in Seattle as an opportunity to check in on his status with the franchise.

There is likely going to be a handful of quarterbacks undergoing a change of scenery this offseason. Despite the valiant efforts from certain teams, Wilson won't be one of those quarterbacks that is in a new uniform next season.
