Seattle Seahawks superstar linebacker Bobby Wagner has been one of the lone bright spots on the team's defense in 2021. Unfortunately, it looks as if the Seahawks will be forced to play without him for their season finale on Sunday. According to Gregg Bell, Wagner is dealing with an MCL sprain and a PCL sprain. Wagner sustained both injuries on Sunday in Seattle's win against the Detroit Lions.
Bobby Wagner's sprained knee is not serious, he does not need surgery, Pete Carroll tells @710ESPNSeattle.
Cody Barton seems likely to play for Wagner Sunday in the season finale at Arizona. Wagner has missed one game the last six years. https://t.co/m4NShcyCQ2 @thenewstribune

Fortunately, Wagner will not require surgery to repair his ailing knee, and instead will be able to get back to 100% by resting up during the offseason. The 6-10 Seahawks are out of playoff contention, so the loss of Wagner should only impact them for one game.

Wagner played in just one snap against the Lions on Sunday before exiting the game with his knee injury. He did not return to the contest, and now will be forced to miss the remainder of the season due to the knock.
This season has been one to forget for the Seahawks defense, though Wagner still managed to turn in a Pro-Bowl caliber season, having recorded 170 tackles, three tackles for loss, three QB hits, 1.0 sacks, five pass defenses, and one forced fumble. The 31-year-old has now made the Pro Bowl in eight consecutive seasons, but he won't get the chance to add to his season tallies when the Seahawks make the trip to Glendale for their season finale against the Cardinals.
