Fans have been treated to a defensive showdown between the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers. Kicker Jason Myers has done his part for Seattle.

Myers hit a clutch 45-yard field goal to put Seattle ahead 24-21, via NFL Twitter:

It has been quite the back-and-forth game from two NFC West opponents. Their showdown has been highlighted by the spectacular performances from both of the defenses. Fortunately, Myers is showing that he is ready to put the nail in the coffin whenever his team calls on him.

This could have been a nerve-wracking kick for Myers since it was his first field goal attempt of the evening. Especially, since he had been coming off a poor outing in Week 9 after missing two of his kicks against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Myers' short memory will certainly come in handy if he is tasked with making another crucial field goal.
