The Seattle Seahawks won 11 games and advanced to the Divisional Round of the playoffs this season, where they ultimately fell to the Green Bay Packers.

While the Seahawks have a dynamic quarterback in Russell Wilson, a pair of good running backs in Chris Carson and Rashaad Penny and a terrific receiving duo of Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf, they are still a couple of pieces away from truly being Super Bowl contenders.

Luckily, Seattle has an entire offseason ahead of itself to patch some holes, and it will have a nice chunk of cap room to do so.

Here are three free agents the Seahawks should already be targeting:

3. Bryan Bulaga, Offensive Tackle

It's honestly amazing that Wilson has been able to stay healthy behind this porous offensive line.

Since 2013, Wilson has been sacked over 40 times every season. In 2019, he was sacked an NFL-leading 48 times. In 2018, he was sacked 51 times.

Obviously, Seattle needs some more help along its offensive line, as Duane Brown has represented the only consistent member of the unit recently.

Bryan Bulaga could certainly fit the bill as someone who can help fortify the trenches, as he could instantly step into the right tackle spot and give the Seahawks one of the more impressive tackle tandems in football.

He won't come cheap, as tackles regularly break the bank, but just imagine how much better Wilson and Seattle's offense will be with more protection upfront.

2. Austin Hooper, Tight End

The only skill-position where the Seahawks are lacking is tight end.

Yes, Will Dissly was producing before being knocked out for the season in early October, but he has now seen each of his first two NFL seasons end prematurely due to knee injuries. Jacob Hollister filled in admirably, but he is a free agent himself, and Seattle would surely rather upgrade the position than bring him back.

That's where Austin Hooper comes into play.

There will be numerous other good tight ends on the open market, such as Hunter Henry and Eric Ebron, but Hooper is the best of the bunch, and the Seahawks have the cap room to absorb him.

Hooper was a Pro Bowler in 2018, and since entering the NFL with the Atlanta Falcons in 2016, he has developed into one of the league's best at his position.

1. Yannick Ngakoue, Defensive End

The Seahawks desperately need pass rushers, and Yannick Ngakoue will be one of the best ones available.

Of course, the Jacksonville Jaguars can always slap a franchise tag on Ngakoue, but let's play along and operate under the assumption that he may hit the open market (which is possible).

Here's the thing: Seattle has its own free-agent pass rusher in Jadeveon Clowney, but he logged just three sacks in 2019. Yes, he was playing with a sports hernia late in the year, but he has also never tallied a double-digit sacks campaign.

For that reason, I'm not so sure the Seahawks should spend big money on Clowney with Ngakoue potentially available.

Ngakoue has racked up 37.5 sacks in four NFL seasons and has consistently been one of the league's best pass rushers since he was drafted.
