The Saints also defeated the Bucs in the season opener.
On the daily Locked On Bucs podcast, hosts James Yarcho and David Harrison discussed what could be wrong with this team after two uninspired performances. Harrison believes the poor performances are due to the Buccaneers thinking that they are better than they actually are.
Article Continues BelowHarrison: It’s a little bit of an obvious answer, of course, but I think that’s where this conversation should start and that’s that this team is not as good as they are. Maybe they are reading their press clippings as people like to say and believing their own hype and all those other cliches. But those are things that are cliches for a reason because it happens. It’s human nature. When we’re told that we’re so great and so awesome that we start to believe it and we start to buy into it and the effort goes away and we kind of think, “Oh I’m just an awesome dude or we’re just an awesome team and we don’t actually have to go out there and put in the work or put in the grind and prove it day in and day out because it's just what it is.” We know that Tom Brady, his entire career has made his living every day, every practice, every game, proving all of his doubters wrong.
