Tom Brady hasn't even been retired for more than a month, and some fans want him back already. The legendary Tampa Bay quarterback announced his retirement last week, stating his desire to spend time with his kids and wife more. Despite that, though, there are still some groups who want him to come back for one more season.
Among those asking for Tom Brady to ‘un-retire' is former Buccaneers quarterback Shaun King. In a radio appearance, King called on the Bucs fanbase to convince him to come back for one more season. (via JoeBucsFan.com)
“I don’t take no easily. I’m not giving up. I feel like we gotta get together with the City of Tampa. We gotta come up with a One More Time campaign for Brady.”
After two years of success with Brady under center (especially considering their history), it's understandable why the Buccaneers fanbase doesn't want their QB to retire just yet. With Brady not suiting up next season, the team has a gaping hole at QB. That position will be among the things the front office will look into in the off-season.
Considering Brady's decision was heavily influenced by his family, it's unlikely that he will come back from retirement so soon. He has acknowledged that he wishes to spend time with his kids after missing a chunk of their childhood. However, if the greatest quarterback of all time decides to return, the Buccaneers will welcome him back with open arms.
In the meantime, though, the Buccaneers need to figure out what to do with their roster. They still have a lot of talent in the skill positions, but as mentioned earlier, their quarterback situation… isn't ideal.
