Although the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have yet to formally clinch a spot in the 2021 NFL postseason as it stands today, head coach Bruce Arians appears to be looking a bit ahead anyway.
However, Arians went down a more unconventional path when speaking about his team and the postseason this week as the longtime NFL head coach doesn't believe that there will be much of a home-field advantage as a result of the 2021 playoffs.

It’s just going to be lining up and playing in empty stadiums. What has been a big, big part of the playoffs in the past is home-field advantage [but] I don’t think it’s going to be an advantage this year. It’s just a matter of getting in.”
While Arians certainly has a point as stadiums are not at capacity due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic in the United States, the Buccaneers head coach better get used to playing on the road as the rival New Orleans Saints appear primed to win the NFC South division this time around. New Orleans has actually already clinched a postseason berth, thanks to the team's most recent win over the Atlanta Falcons in Week 13.
With the Saints currently sporting a “magic number” of just one to clinch the NFC South title, Arians and the Buccaneers will need to make their way into the postseason as one of the conference's three wild card teams.
