The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been a franchise that is longing to be a contending team again and that is expected to take place with Tom Brady in town. Amid the responses of Brady signing with the Buccaneers, a league executive believes Brady will ‘change the culture' in Tampa Bay:
“He'll win some games down there,” an executive from a rival team said via ESPN. “He'll change the culture of the building.”
The last season that the Buccaneers reached the playoffs came in 2007 when Jon Gruden was still the head coach. At the same time, Jeff Garcia was completing passes to Joey Galloway, while Earnest Graham led the team in rushing.
It seems like a lifetime ago that Tampa Bay was playing beyond the regular season in meaningful games. However, with Brady choosing to sign with the Buccaneers in free agency, there's a new aura surrounding the organization.
