Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans is expected to etch his name in record books as he is only 40 receiving yards away from becoming the first player to amass 1,000 yards in each of his first seven seasons in the league, per ESPN Stats and Info.
Achieving the feat will allow him to break the tie between him and Minnesota Vikings icon Randy Moss where both players did it in their first six seasons as a pro.

The Texas A&M product has been a force in the league ever since he was selected with the seventh pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. He immediately concluded his rookie season with 1,051 yards which went on for the next five years.
Last season, Mike Evans only played for 13 games due to a hamstring injury but still accounted for a total of 1,157 yards by the end of the regular season. Even after witnessing the team revamp its personnel over the offseason, the 27-year-old still managed to make himself a dangerous weapon for quarterback Tom Brady.
Evans currently accounts for 960 yards along with a career-high 13 total touchdowns heading to the final game of the regular season. His ability to catch the ball also lifted Brady in fifth place on the total passing yards list this season with 4,234 yards.
Their budding chemistry eventually allowed the Bucs to tally a 10-5 record and clinch a wild-card spot in the postseason. There is no doubt that the Brady-Evans combination will be in full swing against the Atlanta Falcons as they aim to win their final regular-season game before heading to the playoffs.
