The NFL Draft is right around the corner and teams are making roster decisions leading up to the weekend event. We'll see how it all plays out for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as they don't have many holes on the roster. The front office locked up their linebacker spot on Wednesday, as Devin White will be playing for the organization for at least one more season.
According to the Buccaneers' Twitter account, Tampa Bay has picked up Devin White's fifth-year option. The superstar linebacker will be leading the defense yet again, as he plays a vital role for this team. Now, the front office doesn't have to worry about the linebacker position at all and continues stacking the roster.

This is a great decision for Tampa Bay, as their stellar defense remains intact. They're one of the favorites in the NFC, as the Buccaneers have one of the best rosters in the league. We should see them in the playoffs and with Tom Brady under center, they'll have a fighting chance. However, Devin White returning provides consistency in the linebacker position, which is massive for this franchise.
Devin White is easily one of the best linebackers in the league. He can stuff the run, defend the pass, and is one of the best tacklers in the NFL. The Buccaneers were smart to pick up his fifth-year option, but the front office needs to figure out how to keep White for the long term.
Regardless, the Buccaneers are in a great spot to make another run for a Super Bowl title. Keep an eye on Devin White, as he should have a monster year in the 2022 season. No matter how he performs, White will be receiving the bag next offseason, or sooner.
