At one point last season, now-former New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees held the all-time NFL records for the most passing yards and passing touchdowns. Now, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady holds both historic NFL records.
Brady most recently moved ahead of Brees in the all-time passing yards leaderboard during the Buccaneers' Week 4 showdown with the New England Patriots.
Even at this stage in his career, Brady may not be done just yet in breaking NFL records that are currently held by Brees.
For one, Brees is the all-time leader for the most career games with at least three passing touchdowns recorded. The future Hall of Fame quarterback finished his career with 97 such games, which included notching at least three passing touchdowns in nine different contests during his standout 2011 campaign.
Article Continues BelowAs it stands, Brady (95 games) sits at second place in this leaderboard, with Peyton Manning (93 games) behind him.
Although Brady is currently playing in his 22nd season in the NFL, it essentially is only a matter of time before he breaks this record as well. He has notched two such games this season, which include the five-touchdown outing against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 2.
Brady’s Hall of Fame resume is already stacked top to bottom with historic records and impressive feats from his lengthy career in the league. While this potential record would not be among the more astounding ones of his career, it sure always is notable to rank ahead of the likes of Brees and Manning in any statistical leaderboard.
