In a league where numerous tight ends have made their name in, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady believes that Rob Gronkowski is the “greatest” to ever play the position in the NFL.

Gronkowski made the most out of his run with the New England Patriots and has continued to do the same with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. From the combined four Super Bowl wins to the multiple records that he owns as a tight end, he is still bolstering what is already an impressive Pro Football Hall of Fame resume.

Brady has been alongside Gronkowski for his greatest moments in the NFL, and in speaking during a press conference ahead of the Buccaneers' upcoming Week 14 home matchup with the Buffalo Bills, the seven-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback opened up about his stout chemistry with him on the field.

“We've played together – I know basically every situation that's come up,” Brady said. “So much about football is anticipating what the problems will be as opposed to trying to figure out how to solve the problem after the play. I think a lot of it is solving the problem before things happen. ‘Gronk', he knows what I'm thinking, I know what he's thinking.”

Brady also reflected back to Gronkowski’s decision to come out of retirement to join him in Tampa Bay, where he took some time to call him the best tight end in league history.

“I don't remember exactly how things played out with that,” Brady said. “I'm just happy he decided he wanted to come out of retirement. Obviously, playing together with him is just awesome for me. When I chose the Buccaneers, I wasn't sure if he was going to come out of retirement or if he wanted to play, but it's been amazing to watch him perform.

“He's obviously the greatest tight end ever to play the game, and he's still doing it. Again, I think his ability to block in the run game, run routes in the pass game, going against smaller players, and then he's very clutch. He comes up big in the biggest moments.”

Gronkowski’s career resume sure does compare well with the likes of Tony Gonzalez and Antonio Gates, and he does have the edge over them when it comes to postseason success. He could add to his career resume later in the season if the Buccaneers can successfully defend their Super Bowl title.

Tampa Bay currently holds the No. 3 seed in the NFC.
