Tom Brady is arguably the greatest quarterback in NFL history. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback has attained a grand total of seven Super Bowls in his career, and still balled out at age 43 last season. Despite the doubts people had about him, the former sixth-round pick has had a great career so far.
However, you wouldn't know that he was the greatest player based on his salary over the years. While other star quarterbacks like Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, and Aaron Rodgers have gotten paid handsomely over the last few years, Tom Brady hasn't been on that same level. Even when he signed with the Buccaneers in 2020, he agreed to a contract that paid him just $25 million annually; a far cry from the rate of his peers.
Brady has not taken “quarterback-level” money over the years in order for his team to sign other big free agents. It's what enticed stars like Antonio Brown, Ndamukong Suh, and Leonard Fournette to join him in Tampa Bay. Even in New England, Brady did this multiple times. However, with Tom Brady's latest tweet, it seems like the QB is now looking to get paid the big bucks.

Brady tagged Rodgers, Allen, and Mahomes in one tweet with the “👀” emoji on him. It's unlikely that he wants all three of them to join him in the Buccaneers in a weird four-QB system. No, the only thing these three have in common is how big they've gotten paid over the last few years.
Mahomes made history by signing a 10-year, $450 million extension with the Kansas City Chiefs back in 2020, paying him over $45 million every year. Rodgers did the same this year, signing a new contract with the Packers that will pay him around $50 million a year for three years. Allen also signed a six-year extension that pays him over $43 million annually.
With Brady potentially on the edge of retirement (again), the Buccaneers QB might want to take this opportunity to get himself paid one last time. Then again, it's possible that Brady is simply trolling everyone again… or that he's legitimately recruiting these four to be on the same team. Imagine the chaos if that happens.
