Throughout his career, Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver DeSean Jackson has established himself as one of the game's best big-play threats in the passing game behind his explosive speed.
This has helped push him to 22 touchdowns of 60 or more receiving yards, which is only one behind Hall of Famer Jerry Rice's all-time mark. During a recent interview with TMZ Sports, Jackson voiced the utmost confidence that he will be able to surpass that impressive mark before all is said and done.
“Leave it on me, I got it!” Jackson tells TMZ Sports. “It's done!”
Given the type of dynamic speed and big-play ability that Jackson has shown to have this is certainly something that could be accomplished. He is still in the prime of his career and has displayed any decline in his physical ability that should help give him a chance to add to his mark.
Article Continues BelowThe Buccaneers are also relying on him to be a major part of their passing game alongside Pro Bowler Mike Evans, which should open up some opportunities for him to break open for some big plays down the field.
Although he was unable to record a reception longer than 41 yards in his first campaign in Tampa Bay, he will have a chance to build on that with more comfort in the offensive game plan that could allow him to accomplish that feat. Jackson is one of the league's most dynamic playmakers that the Buccaneers make look to further include and capitalize on that ability by giving him more balls down the field in order for him to utilize his track-type speed.
There is clearly no lack of confidence that he won't be able to set that mark, which could simply come down to maintaining his health and getting the opportunity to make big plays.
