Kansas City Chiefs safety Tyrann Mathieu believes that Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady went too far with the trash talk during their Super Bowl showdown. Mathieu said that Brady “called me [him] something I [he] won't repeat.”
One of the most noticeable incidents between the two happened towards the end of the first half after Brady threw a touchdown pass to Antonio Brown, who was being covered by Mathieu. After the score, Brady walked up to the safety and had some words for him. The two were restrained and although they were surrounded by their teammates no extracurriculars immediately ensued.
The consensus seems to be that Mathieu was the instigator. In a now-deleted tweet, the Honey Badger explained his perspective of the incident and stated that he was ready to be the scapegoat under the assumption he did or said something wrong to the quarterback.
In a post-game interview, a report asked the Chiefs star about the altercation:

As of this writing, Brady has yet to respond to this matter.
The Bucs beat the Chiefs, 31-9. Mathieu had a total of three tackles. Brady threw for 201 yards and three touchdowns. 21 of his 29 passes resulted in a completion. The win was a holistic, team effort with Leonard Fournette and Ronald Jones II both having solid, rushing performances.
The Todd Bowles' defense managed to limit the Patrick Mahomes-led offense to just three field goals. Even the Tampa Bay special teams bested their counterparts.
