Stephen A. Smith will soon have another platform from which to (possibly) grace us with his performative take-throwing. The Walt Disney Company, which owns ESPN, made its annual Disney Investor Day presentation on Wednesday, in which the entertainment conglomerate revealed a slew of upcoming projects across its media empire.
Among those projects is a new ESPN+ show for the prolific First Take co-host. Smith is ESPN's highest-paid on-air personality, earning roughly $8 million per year. The show will debut in January 2021.
Disney also revealed a new SportsCenter-like daily morning show for ESPN's streaming channel.

Earlier this week, Smith loudly clapped back at folks on Twitter who called out his salary amid major lay-offs at ESPN.
You might be able to get over it if you'd done your damn homework. I generate revenue clown. I bring money to help KEEP JOBS, not lose them. Know who the F&^%$ you're talking about before opening your mouth. If you didn't know you should've asked somebody. https://t.co/vSaE7BDBJe

Fresh off the smash success of “The Last Dance”, Disney will also stream a docu-series on Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Tom Brady, titled “Man in the Arena,” which will hit ESPN+ in March. The nine-part series will center on Brady's nine trips to the Super Bowl.

Peyton's Places, a co-production with NFL Films, will also return for a third season on ESPN+ in November and will feature episodes focusing on stories outside of football, hosted by David Ortiz, Abby Wambach, Ronda Rousey, and Peyton's brother, Eli.
Oh, and roughly 10(!) new Star Wars and Marvel series are coming in the next few years, should anyone care.
