Tom Brady will not be playing for the New England Patriots in the 2020 NFL season. That much, we know for sure.

But where will he be playing, and when will he make that decision?

Jeff Darlington of ESPN says that he does not expect Brady to make his decision on Tuesday, but that he anticipates he will decide sometime this week.

Darlington adds that Brady's market is “quietly very competitive” and that his choice will be far more about fit than money.

The Los Angeles Chargers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are currently viewed as the two favorites to land Brady, with FOX Sports' Colin Cowherd claiming it's going to be Tampa. But other teams can always jump in, with the Chicago Bears being mentioned by some as a sleeper destination. The Las Vegas Raiders are another potential option.

Brady spent the first 20 years of his career with the Patriots, winning six Super Bowl titles and establishing himself as the greatest quarterback to ever play the game.

For that reason, it's hard to imagine Brady playing anywhere else other than New England, but on Tuesday morning, Brady took to Twitter to announce that he would be wearing a different uniform next season, posting a heartfelt goodbye to the Pats and their fans in the process.

Of course, it's not like whoever signs Brady will be getting Brady in his prime.

He will be 43 years old at the start of the next NFL season and is coming off a rather shaky 2019 campaign in which he threw for 4,057 yards, 24 touchdowns and eight interceptions, missing the Pro Bowl for the first time since 2008 when he was knocked out for the season in Week 1 due to a torn ACL.
