With just the Super Bowl left to be played, the NFL is about to enter the offseason. For the Tennessee Titans, they'll look to continue building upon an already solid roster. This franchise doesn't need much help to remain competitive, but rumors are already spreading that Aaron Rodgers is interested in playing for Tennessee. For that reason, we take a look at potential Titans trade destinations for Ryan Tannehill.
Trading Tannehill will be difficult. It's not an ideal situation financially. Whoever agrees to acquire the Titans' quarterback will have to eat his contract. Spotrac breaks down his financial situation if Tennessee were to trade Ryan Tannehill. If the front office were to dish their starting quarterback away, it would have to be after June 1st.
Trading Tannehill before June 1st. is crucial, as the team would accrue $28.4 million in dead cap space. Whereas, after that specific date, the dead cap considerably drops to just $9.6 million. A trade is not impossible by any means, but it will be incredibly difficult to pull off. However, if Tennessee feels an upgrade at quarterback is necessary, a deal can be made.
With that said, here are three Titans trade options for Ryan Tannehill.

Potential Titans Trade Options for Ryan Tannehill
This one likely won't happen, as the Pittsburgh Steelers don't necessarily have the cap space to pull off a deal for Tannehill. Regardless, Pittsburgh would receive a considerable upgrade at the quarterback position. If the Titans send him away to this team, Ryan Tannehill should be able to continue playing at a high level.
The Steelers have a decent roster. However, they're in dire need of help on the offensive line and quarterback play. Acquiring Ryan Tannehill would be a fantastic option for this franchise, considering it would keep them within the playoff hunt next year.
It feels like the Carolina Panthers are a quarterback away from dominating the NFC South. With their division rivals each dealing with problems of their own, it's time for this franchise to find a competent quarterback for once. For that reason, it would make sense for them to trade for the Titans' current quarterback.
The Panthers were rumored to be seeking a trade for Deshaun Watson. For now, talks have halted and the front office could re-enter negotiations with the Houston Texans again once the trade window opens. Regardless, Carolina could ultimately fail to land Watson, making Tannehill a strong second option for them.
Say what you want about the Washington Commanders' new name, but the team has an exciting roster. They're another franchise that seems to be a quarterback away from becoming relevant and could really use Ryan Tannehill's skillset under center. We'll see how they approach the offseason, but the front office should be making phone calls to the Titans as soon as possible.
At the very least, Tannehill would make the Commanders much more competitive from the get-go. Washington has a decent offensive line, an exciting young running back in Antonio Gibson, and a superstar receiver in Terry McLaurin. If the Titans find a way to land Aaron Rodgers, trading Ryan Tannehill to the Commanders would make a tremendous amount of sense.
