After a tumultuous first two seasons with the Washington Football Team, the organization is reportedly ready to move on from quarterback Dwayne Haskins heading to the 2021 NFL season, via CBS Sports‘ Jason La Canfora.

Haskins primarily struggled under center in his first season after being selected with the 15th pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. He was eventually tasked to turn around a franchise that hasn't seen much success in recent years to which he ultimately failed to deliver.

With a year of experience under his belt, Haskins was given another chance to prove himself entering his second season in the league. He failed to impress in front of the team's decision-makers and was eventually benched for his poor play where he was replaced by the returning veteran in Alex Smith.

Haskins eventually asked for a trade following his demotion but no deal ever came to fruition for the Washington Football Team. Recently, Haskins made headlines once again after being seen on social media partying in a strip club. His violation of COVID-19 protocols led to his removal as one of the team's captains along with a $40,000 fine.

However, the Ohio State product saw a new lease on life once again after he was instated back as the starter for the meantime with Smith being sidelined due to a lingering calf injury. With the team currently sitting atop the NFC East, Haskins is going to see more opportunities to prove his worth anew as Washington is poised to enter the upcoming playoffs.

An impressive showing by Dwayne Haskins in their remaining games could possibly raise his stock for potential suitors but another string of subpar performances will most certainly see his time in the league already come to an end.
